Birmingham City manager Alex McLeish is growing frustrated in his attempts to sign out-of-favour Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng on loan.

The 21-year-old Germany Under-21 international has not even been handed a squad number with Spurs this season, but seems reluctant to try his luck at St Andrew's.

McLeish told the Birmingham Mail: "I was hoping I would have met with him this week but he's been in Germany and I'm waiting to hear the next step. Shocked afro
