Teixeira set for return to action


TONY Mowbray has revealed Filipe Teixeira could make his long awaited return to action in Tuesday's Barclays Premier Reserve League (South) clash at West Ham.

The Portuguese ace has been sidelined since suffering cruciate ligament damage to his left knee in March's 3-0 win over Plymouth.

But he is now back in full training and is itching for his first taste of Barclays Premier League football.

"He's chomping at the bit," said the Baggies boss.

"He is telling me he is ready to play.

"I am saying to him there is a reserve game in a week's time, but I think he is hoping he is going to be involved in the first team as of this weekend.
