Aston Villa and new sigings...

From the outside looking in it does not look very inspiring what is happening at the Villa.
Less that two weeks to the start of the premiership season and they have only made two new signings that is Sidwell and Brad Friedel not to forget Davies but he was already there.
So it looks like Martin O'Neil will have to get his finger out over the next four weeks to get new recruits in.
So with Garth Barry almost certain to leave for Liverpool what is going to be his next move, does he wait till the transfer of Barry is complete so he has the cash to spend or will Randy Lerner put up the ante for O'Neil to use.
There are reports in certain sectors that Lerner is a little bit strapped for cash which i seam to think my self, take the January transfer window when most Villa fans were expecting new signings but none appeared and now that we are so close to the new season it looks like it is happening again.
